POCSO AWARENESS PROGRAMME
St Monica English Medium (CBSE) School, Kumbla organized a POCSO Awareness Programme on 10th September, 2026 at 10:00 AM in the School Auditorium with the presence of Incharge Principal Sr Sharmila, Br Merwim, academic secretary Ms Deekshitha. The programme was compered by Mrs. Irene, who was the Master of Ceremony for the day.
The resource person for the programme was Mr. Jayan Master, Nileshwar, who holds a Diploma in Psychology and is a qualified Hypno Therapist with rich experience in the field of child psychology and counselling. In his talk, Mr. Jayan Master sensitized the students in a very simple and age-appropriate manner about the POCSO Act, the concept of safe and unsafe touch, identifying unsafe behaviour and situations, and the importance ‘No-Go-Tell’ rule and reporting to parents, teachers and trusted adults, Social media influence, online grooming.
The session was interactive and informative and students actively clarified their doubts. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Mrs Keerthy.
