Coconut Day Celebration
St Monica School celebrated Coconut Day with great enthusiasm on 2nd September in the School Auditorium. The programme was organized to raise awareness among students about the importance, benefits, and diverse uses of coconut in daily life.
The event began with a short and informative speech delivered by a student, highlighting the nutritional value, cultural significance, and eco‑friendly uses of coconut. This was followed by a vibrant exhibition, where students displayed a wide range of creative and useful items crafted from coconut shells, husks, and leaves.
The exhibition featured coconut shell bowls, miniature huts, decorative figures, plant holders, leaf crafts, thread‑wrapped spheres, mushroom models, and a ladybug craft. Each showpiece reflected the students’ creativity and their ability to transform natural materials into beautiful and functional items.
The celebration was informative, creative, and enjoyable, helping students appreciate the value of coconut while encouraging them to adopt sustainable practices. It inspired them to explore innovative ways of reusing natural resources, reinforcing the importance of eco‑friendly living and creativity in education.
