The SOS Club organized a visit to Ashraya Ashrama, Kannepaddi, on 13 February 2026 at 2:00 PM with 25 students accompanied by three teachers, Manager Fr Melwyn D’Souza, and Incharge Principal Sr. Sharmila. The group was warmly welcomed by the residents and staff, and Mr. Ramesh Kalery, Secretary of the Ashrama, introduced the institution and its mission of caring for the elderly. Fr Melwyn D’Souza delivered an inspiring speech highlighting the importance of love, gratitude, and respect for elders, motivating students to value the wisdom of senior citizens.
The students actively engaged in conversations, listened to life stories, and presented cultural performances including dance and songs, which created a joyful atmosphere. As a token of love, they handed over a small contribution to the Ashrama. Before leaving, the residents offered refreshments to the students and staff, making the occasion even warmer and memorable. The residents expressed heartfelt gratitude, and one member presented a handmade greeting card to the group as a symbol of appreciation. The visit was a meaningful and enriching experience that strengthened intergenerational bonds and instilled deeper values of compassion and social responsibility among the students.
