St Monica English Medium School (CBSE) organized an Anti-Drug Awareness Programme on 17 July 2026 for the students of Classes VII, VIII, IX, and X. The programme was conducted to create awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse and to encourage students to lead healthy, responsible, and drug-free lives.
The resource person for the session was Mr. Vasanthan K., Senior Civil Officer, Kumbla. Through an informative and engaging presentation, he explained the physical, mental, and social consequences of drug addiction. He emphasized the importance of making wise choices, developing positive habits, and resisting negative peer pressure.
The School Manager, Fr Melwyn Dsouza, was present for the programme and encouraged the students to uphold strong values and make responsible decisions in life.
The interactive session inspired students to appreciate the value of a disciplined lifestyle and motivated them to become responsible citizens committed to building a drug-free society. The programme concluded with an engaging question-and-answer session, during which students actively participated and clarified their doubts.
Overall, the programme was highly informative and impactful, leaving students with a deeper understanding of the importance of staying away from drugs and promoting a healthy, addiction-free future.
