Emergency Life Support Training

An Emergency Life Support (ELS) Training Programme on BLS, CPR, and First Aid was conducted on 30 May 2026 at St. Monica English Medium (CBSE) School, Kumbla. The programme was organized by IMA Kasaragod, IAP Kasaragod, and IMA ELS in association with WellNest Clinic, Kumbla and St. Monica School.

The training was led by Dr. B. Narayana Naik, Senior Paediatrician and District Trainer for IMA ELS/BLS, who provided practical demonstrations and hands-on training in life-saving emergency response techniques. Teachers actively participated in CPR and first-aid practice sessions, gaining valuable real-life experience in handling emergency situations.

School Manager Fr. Melwyn D’Souza and In-charge Principal Sr. Sharmila were present for the session. Certificates were awarded to all participating teachers. The hands-on training enhanced the staff’s knowledge, confidence, and preparedness to respond effectively to emergencies in the classroom and on the school campus, helping to ensure the safety and well-being of students.

“Learn Today, Save Tomorrow” was the inspiring message of the training session.
